The team originally started in 2021 by a small team of pupils who built the car from a kit. The first race was at Predannack airfield in May 2022 where they came 3rd. The team then carried on to race at castle combe and Goodwood, coming 8th. At the start of the 2023 season we welcomed a new set of members, including Erin who is still with us today and is the team leader and web developer.
2022
In 2022 we started our season with a slightly modified Kit Car and achieved good results. The main changes we made were to the aerodynamics, as well as adding a cooling vent above the back right wheel which used the relative airspeed to cool the motor.
Changes:
Replaced cooling pipe with fan
Moved front wheels inwards
Changed headrest to be more aerodynamic

2023
In 2023 we carried on racing after making a large number of changes including re designing the front wheel mount to bring them further in and reduce drag. The cooling vent was also replaced by a 12 Volt fan which sucks cool air through the motor. While we were concerned about the extra battery usage the batteries only dropped 0.05 volts after 5 hours of running the fan.
